The pediatric division of our locally owned and high-caliber private practice is looking for a pediatric occupational therapist who shares our values of dignity, compassion, empowerment , empathy, and nurture to help us expand our Early Intervention Team. The early intervention program focuses on meeting the rehabilitation needs of children under the age of 3-years in their natural environment while supporting and empowering their families.

Job Description

Locations: depending on your availability, one or more of Oceanside, Carlsbad, Vista, San Marcos, Escondido, Valley Center, Fallbrook, San Diego, Chula Vista, National City

You should be able to:

- Provide direct occupational therapy intervention and consultative services to young children (birth to 3 years) with developmental delays or with an established risk for a developmental disability

- Assess, provide recommendations, fit, and train for adaptive equipment as indicated

- Effectively communicate and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including but not limited to Physical Therapists, Speech Language Pathologists, and Infant Educators

- Maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation for all client encounters as well as annual and semi-annual reports

Hourly rate: $75-85 per billable hour

Employment type: Contract (1099)

Caseload- A minimum of 3 treatments per week, however you can work up to a full caseload (20-30 treatments per week) if you have the availability and are willing to serve multiple zip codes. Establishing a full caseload may take up to 3 months.

Qualifications

  • At least one year of experience working in a pediatric setting; early intervention is preferred.

  • Valid CA occupational therapy license

  • Bilingual Spanish a plus (earns a per visit premium) in the following locations: Escondido, Vista, Oceanside, Fallbrook, Valley Center

Requirements

  • Provide your own transportation with proof of insurance

  • Pass a background check

  • Valid BLS certification

  • Proof of liability insurance

  • Proof of immunizations
