FAQs
Do you accept my insurance?
We are out of network with all insurance carriers. Upon request, we are able to generate a document called a superbill that can be submitted by you to your insurance carrier who may then reimburse you for all or part of the expense you incurred with us. Please check with your insurance carrier. In our experience, PPO insurances (Preferred Provider Organization) with a provision for out-of-network coverage are more likely to provide reimbursement.
We have opted to be out of network, as experience has shown that without the constraints and additional administrative burden associated with accepting health insurance, we are able to provide true evidence-based care that is tailored to the needs of each of our patients. In the traditional setting where insurance is accepted, the number and duration of visits you get are usually dictated by the insurance carrier. The quality of care that you get is also indirectly affected by the policies of insurance carriers. In our practice, we actively seek to eliminate these limitations so that we can provide you with the most optimal care.
Do you accept Flexible Spending Account/Health Saving Account cards?
Yes we do accept FSA and HSA cards under the same terms as a credit or debit card.
Do you treat my specific problem?
We are specialists in pediatric and neurologic physical therapy. See our NeuroFit Kids page for the list of pediatric services we offer. For parents looking for DMI (Dynamic Movement Intervention), Dr. Vogel is a certified level C practitioner and offers no-charge consultations via phone and video.
See our NeuroFit Adults page for the neurologic conditions we treat. As one of our providers, Dr. Tabloei, is also trained at the sub-specialty level in orthopaedics, we do offer highly customized rehabilitation for select patients. See our ConnectTherapy page for more information.
What is the average number of sessions I should expect?
If you are a neurologic client, the number of sessions it will take to get you to recover your abilities is dependent on many factors, including your specific goals for rehabilitation, prior level of fitness, nutrition, time since onset of your condition, motivation level, intensity of practice, your home or work environment and the amount of support you have in your life. Because there are so many factors, it isn’t possible to give a concrete answer to this question, as much as we want to. We would expect between 12 and 30+ visits. For clients with a stroke, Parkinson Disease or spinal cord injury, our intensive programs last 2-3 hours per day for 2-4 weeks, while clients with multiple sclerosis will seen over weeks or months. If you are a client with a peripheral vestibular condition, you can normally be treated in one to three sessions.
If you are a pediatric client, the number of sessions will likely be front-loaded with follow up check ups ever few weeks or months as the course of care for your baby progresses.
For our pediatric intensive therapy program, sessions may last from 2-3 hours per day, 5 days per week, for 3-4 weeks. The length and duration of the program is something your doctor of physical therapy will discuss with you after the consultation or evaluation session.
For orthopaedic foot and ankle and spine clients, we employ the ConnectTherapy method and the average number of visits is between 8 and 12 but your specific situation may warrant more or fewer visits. This is usually determined with your doctor of physical therapy during your initial visit.
