Strokes come in two major varieties: 1. when a blood vessel is blocked and blood doesn’t go to a certain part of the brain and 2. when a blood vessel breaks and bleeds out into a part of the brain. The large majority of strokes are of the first kind but regardless of how it happens, your abilities can get affected: difficulty thinking, planning, remembering, walking, reaching, grabbing, dressing yourself or going to the bathroom. The list is quite long and not everyone gets affected in the same way by a stroke. Some are milder and some are more devastating. However, everyone can recover. How much you recover depends on a variety of factors. Traumatic Brain Injury
